Once again, we turned to the stars for guidance. We've already covered weddings for sensitive Pisces, and now our astro-psychologist Leda Golovanova has decoded the cosmic message for sentimental Cancers. We're confident our recommendations will help you plan a flawless celebration — no magic required.
…hard work, empathy, and loyalty are not just words to you.
Thanks to their emotional depth and vivid imagination, Cancers have a strong need for creative self-expression — which will absolutely show in their wedding style, décor choices, and the planning process itself.
Cancers' devotion to family and loved ones is something to be admired. They will literally go to the ends of the earth for the people they love.
"But sometimes that shell of theirs makes itself known. It's as if someone flips a switch, and suddenly their warm-hearted care transforms into the cold calculation of a Wall Street investment banker," Leda warns.
There's one more thing that will inevitably surface from the depths of a Cancer's psyche when it comes to major decisions: self-doubt and a tendency to rely on the opinions of those closest to them.

"The time when it's easiest for Cancers to step out of their shell and show the world what they're made of — is summer," says Leda.

Cancers are deeply devoted to their families, and when choosing a wedding style, they will almost certainly be guided by the images and atmospheres from their own childhood. Another direction that resonates with nearly every Cancer: timeless classics, which can be beautifully combined with cozy, intimate details.
Cancers tend to keep the official ceremony intimate — close family and dearest friends only. "Sentimental Cancers will most likely choose a venue that holds emotional significance for them. Anxious or more private Cancers may want to retreat into their beloved shell: a home wedding or a celebration at a family country house," says Leda.

If those options aren't available, the choice will naturally fall on a cozy venue near the water.

A small, welcoming loft space with a warm, home-like atmosphere will also be a perfect fit.

The shimmer of silver, mirrored surfaces, and glass perfectly capture the mood of the mysterious Moon — the ruling planet of all born under this sign.
The monochromatic elegance can be complemented by a soft, calming palette:

Since Cancers love comfort above all, every fabric should be as pleasant to the touch as it is beautiful to the eye.

For inspiration, here are a few designs from EventForMe's free invitation builder.
Minimalist invitation "Autumn"
A soft, pastel palette in the season's most fashionable peach tones.
Invitation "Blue Pastel"
A watercolor-and-bronze combination that pairs beautifully with a classic font duo: a script typeface for the names, and an elegant serif for the body text.
Invitation "Tiffany"
The world-famous color and form combination. Fonts: script and serif. The layout places special emphasis on the ceremony date.
Classic, but notably relaxed — Cancer men genuinely dislike being confined in a rigid shell. Clothing should be loose, comfortable, perhaps even a size up. No tight shoes, no constricting cuts. Formal, but comfortable.

There's a good chance a Cancer groom will gravitate toward a linen blazer, relaxed slacks, and suede shoes.

For accessories, vintage details work wonderfully: a silk waistcoat and a flat cap, with a neck scarf in place of a suffocating tie.
Minimalism and elegance — that's what will delight and inspire a bride born under the sign of Cancer.
One of the most fitting options: a dress in a vintage style.

For those who want to fully embrace a romantic, fairy-tale mood, a Disney princess silhouette is a natural choice: a full skirt and a fitted corset.

The bouquet should be delicate, refined, and unfussy. A lovely arrangement could include peonies, garden roses, hyacinths, and airy gypsophila. For a minimalist or classic look, single-variety bouquets in any form are an excellent choice.
As for color — naturally, everything in soft pastels.

Cancers have a deep appreciation for art in all its forms. There will almost certainly be a talented photographer at this wedding — possibly two. Don't be surprised if the couple works with a choreographer on their first dance. Most likely it will be a waltz: flowing, romantic, and ceremonial. Or a slow samba.

In industry terms: "all kinds of unifying traditions will land beautifully" at a Cancer's wedding. Think a unity candle ceremony or a family hearth ritual. Showing guests a pre-filmed love story video or slideshow is also a wonderful idea — it will absolutely add an extra layer of emotion to the day.
The design will almost certainly feature a scattering of pearls, glitter, or petals.

When it comes to flavors and fillings, there's a very real chance that a Cancer will arrive at the patisserie with a recipe for a cake or loaf that their beloved grandmother used to bake.
Asking a baker to recreate a cherished family recipe in a wedding cake is entirely on-brand for a Cancer — it wouldn't strike anyone as the least bit unusual.
